The Loft (Local Outreach Family Therapies) is a community-based
project in Cabra which offers support in response to individuals,
family members and the community who have been impacted by substance
use, including alcohol. The Service supports the provision of an
integrated approach to meet the diverse needs of our service users and
to assist people to move away from problem substance use and gain a
better quality of life.
Reporting to the Board of Management, we are looking to recruit a TEAM
LEADER to lead and develop this community based psychotherapeutic
service. This appointment will be a one-year fixed term contract.

evening and some weekend work. The successful candidate will be
required to undergo Garda Vetting.
Remuneration will be commensurate with HSE Pay Scales.
MAIN AIM OF THE POST:
To lead and develop the Resource Centre's community based
psycho-therapeutic service aimed at individuals affected by
problematic alcohol & drug use in the Cabra area.
REPORTS TO: Reporting to the Board of Management

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Develop the existing service and prepare proposals for improvements
and change for submission to the board
* To maintain and develop a professional reporting and supervision
policy, procedure and practices covering the work of all staff e.g.
staff evaluations & performance monitoring.
* Develop links with the community and other relevant local services
that enhance client and community outcomes
* Build and maintain the profile of service in the community
* Devise and recommend policies, procedures and structures for the
professional and effective governance of all services provided by
Cabra Resource Centre
* Be responsible for the direct day to day management of all client
case work provided by the centre.
* To be accountable to the Board of Management and liaise regularly
with them on all matters pertaining to provision of a professional and
effective therapeutic service e.g. reports and meetings.
* To implement procedures for the planning and review of all
therapeutic and programme work provided by the CRC.
* Be responsible for the compilation of service activity information
for the Board of management
* To represent the therapeutic service provided by CRC within the
community and at inter-agency meetings as directed by the Board of
Management.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
* Educated to at degree level or with appropriate professional
qualifications and equivalent experience;
* Experience with administrative systems;
* Good knowledge of the current National Drugs Strategy;
* Experience with interagency engagement and community development;
* Experience in programme development & delivery;
* Experience in one to one working;
* Excellent analytical, written & verbal skills and ability to
demonstrate significant knowledge in your area of specialisation;
* Ability to work on own initiative, multi-task and be
self-motivated;
* A person centred approach to service provision with a focus on
integration and participation in the community;
* Excellent organisational skills and a strong client focus;
* Excellent IT skills;
* Excellent communications skills ? listening, speaking and report
writing;
* A commitment to supporting and encouraging participants to engage
in services and programmes;
* Patience and a sense of humour
